There is an overwhelming amount of (often contradictory) information out there on what you should include in your hospital bag. As it turns out, you really don't need very much at all. I know this because my hospital bag was stolen from my car the day before I went into labour, and I wanted for (almost) nothing during my time in the hospital. So consider this 'the minimalist's hospital bag' list. Your bank balance will thank you!

- Black, loose clothing
- Maternity pants
- Hair bands
- Toiletries
- Going home outfit
- Colostrum in a cool bag (if you've harvested any)
- Extra long phone charger
Your baby's bag
- Hat x 3
- Short sleeved vests
- Sleepsuits with feet and roll down mitts.
- Cellular blanket
- Going home outfit
- Nappies
- Nappy cream
- Wet wipes or cotton pads
- Muslins
