Why rent a running pram?
A new running pram costs £600 to £900 and sells on at a loss. Renting spreads it into a monthly amount for the months you use it.

Is it really a running pram?
Lots of three-wheelers look sporty, but running safely needs a few specific features. Here's what to look for.
| Feature | Running pram | All-terrain pram |
|---|---|---|
| Front wheel locks straight | Yes | Sometimes |
| Hand brake for hills | Yes | Rarely |
| Suspension made for running | Yes | Some |
| Big air-filled tyres | Yes | Often |
| Wrist strap | Yes | Rarely |
| Approved for running by the maker | Yes | No |
Every running pram we rent has all six. Check your own pram's manual before running with it.
Will it fit? Check your front door or pick your car and we'll tell you if it fits.
Running prams are long, and double ones are wide. Snap your doorway, drag four pins onto the frame and we'll work out the width. For boots, just pick your car.
Got an iPhone? The built-in Measure app works too: point it at the doorway, tap one side of the frame, then the other, and type the number in. Pram sizes are manufacturer figures, so double-check anything marked tight.
When can my baby ride?
Running with your baby is safe when you follow the age guidance and a few quick checks.

Use a carrycot or car seat on the pram for walks. No running yet, however tempting.
Time to run
Once your baby has strong head and neck control and sits in the seat, you can start easy runs. Always follow your pram's age guidance.

Parents love Baboodle
4.9 on TrustpilotI'm so glad I did it through Baboodle as I used it for the amount of time I needed and then sent it back. Perfect! Customer service was wonderful.
Incredible customer experience, personalised and bespoke. Feels like actual real people who care about the company and customer experiences. I recommend Baboodle to everyone having a baby.
I'm travelling alone with 3 kids and Baboodle saved me the hassle of having to bring pushchairs. The items I ordered were in perfect condition. I will definitely be using Baboodle again.
What parents ask us
When can my baby go in a running pram?
Most running pram makers say from about 6 months, once your baby has good head and neck control and can sit in the seat. Before then you can walk with a carrycot or car seat, but don't run.
When can I start running after having a baby?
Most UK guidance says not before 12 weeks after the birth, and later after a caesarean or a difficult birth. Our free running plan builds this in, and we'd always suggest a pelvic health physio check first.
Can I use a running pram at parkrun?
Most UK parkruns welcome buggy runners. Start at the back, keep the wrist strap on and check your local course page for any rules.
What makes it a running pram?
A front wheel that locks straight, a hand brake, suspension, big air tyres and a wrist strap. Many all-terrain prams look similar but aren't made for running.
Will a double running pram fit through my door?
Double running prams are wide. Use the checker above to measure your front door, or pick your car to check the boot.
What if I stop running?
Send it back for free. There's no commitment, and you only pay for the months you use it.
How long do people rent a running pram for?
