When you join the Baboodle or use one of our products, you trust us with your information. That’s not something we take lightly. We’ve written this Privacy Policy to help you know what data we collect from you, how we use it and how we protect it for you. What information do we hold about you?
Information you submit through our apps or websites

To help prevent fraud and misuse of goods, we require each customer to provide information to verify their account. This will be some or all of the following: your name, ID, email address, phone number, a selfie video and your physical address

Description and purpose
On this website we use the circuly checkout and subscription management software. circuly is a software company based in Germany, headquartered at 33602 Bielefeld, Obernstr. 50, phone: +49 176 552 884 77. This is an integrated software solution that we use to cover various aspects of our Subscription Management. These include: Checkout, customer login, invoices and payment processing, communication, return management and reporting. This information is stored on servers run by our software partner circuly. It may be used by us to contact our customers and provide our subscription services. All information we collect is subject to this Privacy Policy. We use all information collected exclusively for processing the (subscription) order.
Legal basis
The legal basis for the use of circuly services is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest in using this service is the efficient and customer-friendly processing of subscription contracts.
Recipient
The recipient is circuly GmbH, Obernstr. 50, 33602 Bielefeld, Germany.
Transfer to Third Countries
Through the use of the service, personal data may be transferred to a third country. In the event of a transfer of personal data, the Provider shall ensure the level of protection of the DSGVO by complying with Art. 44 et seq. DSGVO. If there is no adequacy decision with the third country in which the data importer is based, the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards. Duration of data storage
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Furthermore, the data will be deleted if you revoke your consent or request the deletion of the personal data.
Possibility of objection
In accordance with Art. 21 (1) DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time. If you exercise your right, processing for this purpose will no longer take place. Further information on this can be found above in our data protection declaration under "Rights of data subjects".

Who do we share it with?

Anyone who you give us explicit permission to share it with.
When you sign up, we search your record at credit reference agencies to check if we can accept you as a member to manage our business risk. This is a 'soft search' and won’t impact your credit score. You can read more about our credit checks here.
Where necessary, we’ll also share information to comply with regulatory authorities, to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements and to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers or others.
What are your rights?
You have a right to:

Access and update some of your information through your Baboodle account.

In some jurisdictions, you may have the right to request copies of personal information which you can’t see through your Baboodle account, though we will not be able to comply when such requests are manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information which you can’t update yourself through your Baboodle account.

We may retain certain information necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection and prevention and enhancing safety. E.g. if we suspend a Baboodle account for fraud or safety reasons, we might retain certain information to prevent that user from opening another account in the future.

Information you have shared with others (e.g. Reviews) may continue to be publicly visible even after your Baboodle account is cancelled.

Where do we store your data?

We take your privacy seriously. That’s why the information you give us is transmitted using SSL, the secure encryption which websites use to transmit credit card numbers.

We store your verification information in an encrypted form, and only authorised Baboodle employees are given access to your original documentation, to help them do their jobs.

Data collected inside the EEA may be transferred and stored outside of the EEA for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. However, we’ll only do this where appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep most of your data for as long as you’re a member, and for 6 years after that to comply with the law and if we face a legal challenge. In some circumstances, like cases of fraud, we may keep data longer if we need to and/or the law says we have to.
In each case, the length of time that we need to keep the information may be different, but we will only keep the information for as long as we need it.
