BABYZEN YOYO Newborn Pack vs Bassinet

BABYZEN YOYO Newborn Pack vs Bassinet

A question we are asked all of the time is 'should I pick the Newborn Pack or the Bassinet' for my Babyzen YOYO configuration?

If your baby is under 6 months, Babyzen has an option of two configurations. It's very simple to work out which one will work best for you, and it completely depends on how you will be using the Babyzen YOYO. In this article we have set out which one will be most suitable for your use case. And remember, it's easy to swap in and out depending on yours and your baby's needs so you don't have to commit to either / or!

Newborn Pack

The Newborn Pack creates a cosy nest that your little one can snuggle down into whilst they lie completely flat, parent facing and remain safe in the 5-point harness.

Crucially (and the main reason why you would pick the newborn pack over the bassinet), you are able to fold down your YOYO with the newborn pack still attached. This means that the newborn pack configuration is the perfect option for travelling with your sub six-month baby. It is cabin-approved for plane travel, and lightweight and easy to fold for public transport travel.

You may also choose to use the newborn pack configuration if you are short of space, and would prefer to be able to easily fold down your pram and store it without the hassle of having the remove parts.

Bassinet

The  Bassinet was introduced by Babyzen in 2020 and and provides a structured bassinet option for parents wanting to be able to quickly attach and detach the bassinet from the frame or carry the bassinet separate from the stroller. Its hard shell means that it is sturdier than the newborn pack, and it offers the additional flexibility of a separate bassinet if needed.

If using the YOYO as your primary pram, the bassinet configuration provides maximum comfort for everyday use.
